DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to present the return of the Coaches CPD on Saturday the 14th June 2025\, 8:30-14:00\, at Sandwell Aquatics Centre. \nThe session will run alongside the Regional Development Programme\, where coaches can observe the programme and learn from others who are attending and delivering. They will be supported by Jo John\, who will give prompts\, seek feedback\, and answer any questions. \nFollowing this\, the coaches will enter a classroom session where they receive a presentation focused around their coaching journey\, and how to become a world class coach in their club. SUMMARY:Midlands Artistic Swimming Invitational Novice Competition 2025
DESCRIPTION:This is open to all swimmers who hold grad 0 to grade 2 for figures and grade 0 to grade 3 for routines (all division 1 teams). \nThis is a great competition to introduce swimmers to the world of competing with just a figure and combination event for each age group. 12u\, 8-10\, 13-15 and 15-18 for figures. The team age categories are the same as Age Groups – 12u\, 13-15\, 13-18\, 15u and 15+.

Below is some information about the day\, including parking and warm-up allocations. Please ensure the information is passed onto your teams ahead of time. On the day of the event\, if you have any questions or queries\, please speak to us on poolside in the timing suite \nVenue: Arrival and Parking \nSandwell Aquatics Centre \nLondonderry Lane\, Smethwick\, West Midlands B67 7EW \nWe will be sharing on-site parking with the centre members\, as well as everyone attending for the event. There will not be enough spaces for all attendees at this event. There is parking available locally\, as the venue sits within a residential area\, so you can park for free and walk to the venue\, which we would recommend doing first to avoid congestion into the venue. There is a path through the back of the site via Manor Road\, so you can park on that side of the building and walk through. If you can\, please consider car sharing. Park responsibly and respectfully. \nUpon arrival\, walk to the front doors of the building (facing Londonderry Lane)\, where you will see the pool through the windows straight ahead of you. Turn right\, to the reception desk\, and go through the glass barrier. Go down the stairs\, left\, and along the corridor into the changing rooms. The centre sometimes separates the swimming lesson changing from the events changing\, so please check any relevant signage upon entry to the changing rooms. \nPoolside and Seating \nOn poolside\, teams will be sat around the 2 x 25m pools. The Diving pit will be closed off for lessons. \nSwimmers may bring camping and fold up chairs to use on poolside. There will be some benches and chairs available but not enough for everyone in attendance. Teams may also use the stands for seating\, this is accessed by a set of stairs from poolside. We will not assign teams seating prior. \nWe will have a handful of volunteers in attendance to support the day. As with all masters events\, we will not be marshalling as done in age group\, however we will have 1-2 volunteers with the start sheets to support you getting to the right event. \nLane assignments \nLanes have been spearhead seeded based on last years’ results: \nL0 – (empty) \nL1 – Northamptonshire \nL2 – Derbyshire \nL3 – Staffordshire \nL4 – Warwickshire \nL5 – Nottinghamshire \nL6 – Leicestershire \nL7 – Worcestershire \nL8 – Shropshire \nL9 – Lincolnshire \nWarm-up and swim down \nWarm up will start at 12:00\, and end at 12:30. \nComp pool: Under 55s \nNon-comp pool: Over 55s \nStarts in lane 0 of the comp pool throughout (all ages). \nStarts in lanes 0\, 1\, 2\, 7\, 8\, 9 of the comp pool for the last 10 minutes (all ages)\, more if needed. \nSwim down pool is open throughout. No fins in either pool please. \nFood and drink \nSandwell have a café on-site selling hot and cold food and drink. Please don’t take hot drinks onto poolside.
