Regional Award Winner: Swimming Development Coach of the Year – John Davey

We are pleased to announce John Davey as the winner of the Swim England West Midlands Swimming Development Coach of the Year Award 2024.

John has made a huge impact upon his club, Newcastle Staffs, supporting them to reach new heights. He has been the Head Coach of the Regional Development Programme, supporting the coaches and swimmers from across the Region in their journey. His drive and commitment to the sport makes him a deserving winner of this award.

Record breaking

  • Newcastle Staffs have achieved their highest number of County, Regional, and National qualifiers.
  • The club were the Arena League Division 2 Champions.

  • John completed his senior coaching qualification.
  • He was the Staffordshire County and West Midland Regional Programme Head Coach.
