Our 2024/25 Regional Development Programme (RDP) and Regional Distance Development Programme (RDDP) are due to start on the 21st December in Coventry. Swimmers have been selected following the Swim England Talent criteria, and invited to take part, with 90 places available across both programmes.
Swimmers will receive workshops on nutrition and psychology together, and for the RDP, physiology.
The RDDP will have the addition of a lake session, where swimmers can learn open water skills leading into the Regional and National Open Water events next summer.

The programmes also aim to support coaches from across the Region in their development.
The Region selects coaches to deliver the sessions, who are then supported by the Head Coach and Swim England. The skills and experiences gained at the camps can be taken back to their home programmes to enhance their delivery.

Coach CPD:
The coach CPD will return in 2025, on the 14th June, running alongside the final RDP camp at Sandwell Aquatics Centre. This is a great opportunity to see the programme, network with other coaches, and learn from one of our Swim England Talent Officers, who will deliver a workshop on the day.
