City of Birmingham pairing Magdalena Townsend and Alyssa Anderson won the gold medal in the youth duet with their vampire-themed routine.
After finishing 2nd and 10th in figures in the morning with an average of 64.6364, they scored 68.4000 in routine to finish on a combined score of 133.0364 and winning by more than three points.
“We’ve been working a lot on timing, height and adding more difficulty,” Magdalena said.
“Our goals for the rest of the season are to hopefully place in an international competition and compete this routine at Youth Worlds in the summer”.
