Head Coach Vacancy at Wyre Forest Swimming Club

Wyre Forest Swimming Club
Serving Kidderminster and surrounding areas incl Stourport and Bewdley

The Wyre Forest Swimming Club (WFSC) in Worcestershire is recruiting a new Head
Coach to join our passionate and enthusiastic club. Whilst a part-time role, this is an
exciting opportunity for someone to join the Club and be a key part of the next stage of
our development. This role will suit someone looking to take on a new challenge.
WFSC is based at three different pools within Kidderminster. We have around 300
swimmers, many of these in our successful Learn to Swim programme, who then transition
into our competitive squads working towards and competing at County, Regional and National levels. We have also recently introduced a small but enthusiastic Masters squad.

Our club is widely known as been passionate and ambitious for our swimmers whilst
remaining safe, inclusive and a fun club to be part of. Last year we put in place a

three year development and growth programme primarily focussed on ensuring that our
swimmers continue to have access to their own local competitive club without having to
travel several days a week to a distant club many miles away in all sorts of weather.

A competitive salary will be on offer according to experience and qualifications. The Head
Coach will be employed under a contract for the provision of services and will not be an
employee of the club. The salary will cover hours coaching/training across all squads,
working in conjunction with squad coaches, plus attendance at competitions and coaching
team management. Core coaching hours are likely to be 10 – 12 hours/week but the club
can be flexible on this and the evenings worked. Administrative hours to support this will
also be paid. Free parking at each training location is provided.

Whilst applicants should be an experienced Level 2 coach we would also be interested to
hear from recently qualified Level 2’s or ambitious Level 1 coaches aspiring to get their
Level 2’s on their pathway to becoming a Head Coach.

WFSC can be flexible in terms of applicant qualifications, so please get in touch if you are
interested or would like any further information. Applicants must be eligible to work in the
UK and prepared to relocate at their expense if necessary.

How to apply: Please send your CV, a covering email outlining your interest in the role,
plus names and contact information for two professional references, by the closing date
of 12th April 2024. All applications and enquiries should be made to
