Worcestershire once more came out top West Midland County, in the process improving their Division-1 rank position from 13th to 12th. They were ahead most of the day finishing 1st or 2nd in all but 7 of the 31 events. Elsewhere Warwickshire consolidated their promotion to Div-1, by finishing 16th despite a couple of relay disqualifications. Staffordshire also moved up one place to 5th in the Division-2 rankings, missing promotion by a mere 8 points.
