We are pleased to announce Josh Bradley as the winner of the Swim England West Midlands Swimming Performance Pathway Coach of the Year Award 2024.
Josh has been instrumental in the success of swimmers across multiple levels of the pathway, notably the support he has provided to the performance swimmers at The University of Birmingham. After receiving runner-up in this Award last year, Josh is a well-deserved winner.
“He is a role model and an inspiration to younger children as well as a great friend to have. He can pass down great advice having a fruitful swimming career himself, talking about experiences that he had to try and help us be the best swimmers we can be.
He works at 3 different swimming clubs as well as county and regional programs, often having 2-3 sessions per day, at yet still has the time and energy to help all those with whatever is going on in there lives, be it swimming or issues at home.“
Josh has also taken up a position on the Swim England West Midland Coaches Technical Panel this year, contributing to discussions and putting forward support for coaches in the Region.
Josh has been involved in the Worcester County and West Midland Regional Development Programmes for multiple years, alongside working on his swimming business, SwimGainz.
Well done Josh!
Stay tuned for our other Regional Award Winners, as well as a summary of all the winners and runners-up from 2024.
Award winners will be invited to the Swim England National Awards Ceremony in November, and their name will go forward for consideration to receive a National Award.
Thank you to everyone who completed a nomination, and congratulations to everyone who was nominated. We are so proud of our fantastic Aquatics community in the West Midlands.
