Para-Championships
Each year, Swim England West Midlands hosts the Para-swimming Championships in October. This event aims to introduce para-swimmers to competing, with a calm and supportive environment. You can find more information about the next event on the calendar.
Para-training development programme
Each season, we host a development programme for para-swimmers to gain confidence and learn new skills. This is also a great opportunity for parents and coaches to develop their knowledge, gaining a deeper understanding of their swimmers impairment and how they can be supported.
There are 3 sessions per year, each day consisting of a pool and land training session, delivered by coaches with a range of experiences with para athletes.
There is an eligibility criteria, but it is open to swimmers with a classification, or on the waiting list to receive one.
To find out more about the next programme, head to our calendar and search for the programme event page.
Further competition opportunities
Para-swimmers who would like further competition opportunities can enter many events with adapted entry requirements. Each event will be different, with the information about para entries listed in the event conditions.
